I refer to any knife, regardless of size or shape, having a forged finger pad with forged curl as an "Old DW". This feature, considered by many to be my trademark, came to me in a dream and was present on the first knives I sold in the early 1980s, as well as my own personal belt knife from that era- thus Old DW.This Old DW is forged 1084 carbon steel with rough forged texture and an overall antique patina. It has a full tapered tang, Elk antler handle, steel bolsters and thumb position file work. The rawhide covered sheath has leather thongs decorated with glass beads, tin cones and horse hair.
Blade length 4 1/4" - Overall length 8 5/8".
